Honestly, there's never been a better example of a band willing themselves into rock gods as GBV does here. The fact that the album starts with a "GBV" chant when no one outside Dayton knew who they were yet isn't arrogant - it's prophecy. What a killer rock record. giventofly87

Sure, maybe my ears are ruined by the loudness wars, but it's hard to believe that this mix is the sound anyone was looking for. Every element sounds buried and distant to me, which is a shame since the songs are top-notch. Let's have a 13-month anniversary remix, eh? raeforr

I cannot compare this album to previous Elf Powr efforts because I somehow only just discovered the band. However, I can say this is perhaps the most melodic album I have heard this year and that I look forward to checking out the rest of their catalog. PDD
