Honestly, there's never been a better example of a band willing themselves into rock gods as GBV does here. The fact that the album starts with a "GBV" chant when no one outside Dayton knew who they were yet isn't arrogant - it's prophecy. What a killer rock record.

I cannot compare this album to previous Elf Powr efforts because I somehow only just discovered the band. However, I can say this is perhaps the most melodic album I have heard this year and that I look forward to checking out the rest of their catalog.
